Makhdoom Amin Fahim Died Passes Away in Karachi cause of Blood Cancer

KARACHI: Senior (PPP) Pakistan Peoples Party leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim died today (21st Nov 2015) at a private hospital in Karachi, Sindh on Saturday. He are set to rest this afternoon.

Fahim had been unwell for a few time and had came back to Pakistan last month to spend sometimes with family and friends. He had been delivered to Karachi via an ambulance on the 26th Oct.

Prior to his come back, the senior leader and veteran politician had been receiving treatment in Germany, England and UAE and in light-weight of his deteriorating health he needed to come back home to Pakistan for many days, his interpreter Aslam Pirzada told Geo News upon his come back last month.

Makhdoom Amin Fahim (4 August 1939 – 21 November 2015)

was a Pakistani populist left-wing figure and a poet. He was the senior vice-chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party, Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians and Former Chairman of Alliance for Restoration of Democracy.

Earning Bachelor of Science in political science from the University of Sindh in 1961, he started his political activism in 1970 and contested successfully in the 1970 general elections and was a close ally of Benazir Bhutto during the 1990s. He is the spiritual figure of the Sarvari Jama’at as well as the prominent sufist in his native province, Sindh.
